An open book
Good information.
Clear where it comes from.
Konnector helps neighbors discover the home-service vendors local professionals personally use. Here’s what our information means, how it is calculated, and where its limits are.
A vouch is a personal opinion.
A professional chooses to link a vendor to their stall and may add a short personal note. Vouch counts represent distinct owner links on active vouches; duplicate links do not earn extra points. Public professional lists show only people with active vouches and public stalls. Total distinct vouches can also include professionals whose stalls are private, without disclosing their identities. These are not ratings, reviews, inspections, work guarantees, or judgments of individuals.
The Signal Score, in plain sight.
A score out of 100 combines four recorded signals. It is a discovery aid, not a prediction of workmanship, suitability, or a guarantee.
| Recorded signal | Points |
|---|---|
| License status is Active | 40 |
| Each distinct active owner vouch, capped at 10 | 4 each, up to 40 |
| Actual median response ≤24h / ≤72h / slower or missing | 10 / 5 / 0 |
| Franchise tax status is Active | 10 |
Missing response data earns zero response points. “Not required” licensing does not earn Active license points. Verified status, featured status, payments, and paid owner tiers never enter the formula, organic ranking, or stall order. A professional controls the order of their own stall.
Scores and vouch counts use live vendor and professional-vouch records. Their “as of” date is the server calculation date. It is separate from the date the license record was last checked. Public data is cached for at most 60 seconds; private dashboard data is not cached.
Public records have dates and limits.
License information comes from the named Texas registry: TDLR, TSBPE, TREC, or TDI, when recorded. We show source, check date, license number, and expiration when known. A missing check is labeled “Not yet checked.” Tax status and an insurance certificate on file are separate recorded fields; neither is insurance advice, proof of current coverage, or a guarantee. Confirm current licensing and suitability directly with the vendor and issuing registry. A professional’s license badge does not mean Konnector inspected anyone’s work.
Response times use a true median.
Response hours are elapsed seconds between the server-recorded consent timestamp and vendor response timestamp, divided by 3,600. Both timestamps and confirmed consent are required. Negative or invalid durations are excluded. We sort all eligible durations and take the middle value, or the mean of the middle two. No response is not a zero-hour response. Where available to eligible Pro and Team owners, response summaries show sample size, source, and calculation date. This first build does not accept vendor response updates.
Community statistics need context.
Community statistics are supplied from separately maintained records. Konnector does not edit those records. A statistic appears only with a metric, numeric value, sample size, source, and date. Category and city figures also require a year. We show the latest relevant complete record. Empty tables produce empty states, never invented proof.
Your information, with your consent.
An intro request requires explicit consent naming both the vendor and the professional. Your contact details are saved privately in Konnector’s service records, never placed in public profiles or URLs. The associated professional can view their own requests. Email delivery is not configured in this first build: saving a request does not send email, and an intro status by itself is not proof of delivery. Delivery evidence comes from the recorded delivery history. Business claiming is invitation-only and currently unavailable.
Independent connections.
Konnector receives no referral fees, sells no leads or introductions, and provides no brokerage, inspections, work guarantees, insurance advice, or lending advice. Sponsored category-page placements, if present, are separately labeled and exclude settlement-service vendors. There are no sponsored or affiliate placements on stalls or vendor profiles.
